So, you guys know that YourMom’s a fan of The Fug Girls. Well, lucky for us they also do a little column on New York magazine’s Daily Intelligencer blog. It’s called “New York Fugging City” — how much do you love that??

Anyhoo, in light of the little game this weekend, today The Fug Girls take on Eli and Tom. Sadly, they are a bit biased toward the Manning (it is an NYC column after all), but I think it’s clear Tommy is the real winner here. Check out the sass here.

Modern Egg Baby January 31, 2008

YourMom has babies on the brain.  2/5 of us are expecting.  So, when I came across this amazing/cool/modern car seat, I had to share.  And, hopes that maybe the new addition will be cool enough to get one.

How freaking cute, right?  And, according to the site, it’s safer than a regular car seat because it’s side-impact protected.  It can fit a child from infancy to toddler, and it’s easy loading/unloading - you can swivel it in all different directions with one hand!  Plus, you can get it in lots of different colors!  Not only that, but the company that designed it, think/thing, is based out of Chicago, a fave city of YourMom’s!

What’s unclear is where you get one… guess that means it’s just a concept at this stage.  Baby A will have be cool and stylish in other ways.  YourMom will make sure s/he is.

Benjamin Franklin Bridge

YourMom is (maybe) going to Philly for the weekend soon, so I’m really excited to see that Design*Sponge posted its Philadephia Design Guide today.  The guide was put together by one of my favorite bloggers, Joy, from OhJoy!  I’m hoping we can check out a few of these spots — Hello Home sounds dreamy!  While I’ve been to Philly before, I’ve really never spent time wandering or shopping while there.

Jenny From The Block’s Having a Baby…Shower January 20, 2008

This Saturday, some of Jenny’s besties hosted a very fancy Baby Shower for her at the ultra cool private rooftop club at the Gramercy Park Hotel.

jloprego.jpgSeveral JLo pals were in attendance including crazy Scientologist Leah Remini, rad designer Roberto Cavalli and the super classy and beautiful Diane Sawyer. Word on the street is that she’s having twins, a boy and a girl, but there is no official confirmation on that topic. Other word is that there was a sweet Swarovski crystal encrusted pacifier in the gift bags, but again, no confirmation on that topic either. JLo was looking hot in her baby doll coat with a doting Marc Anthony on hand to walk her into the party. She’s due in “a few weeks” - can’t wait to see the little nuggets. Will they have big bootie like their momma? Wait and see.

Cathing up on The Wire January 10, 2008

Your Mom has come to HBO’s “The Wire” very recently, having started the Season 1 DVDs just this past summer. I got through four seasons just-in-time for the beginning of Season 5. If you don’t have time to check out all those DVDs, HBO pulled together a 4-minute recap in the spirit of The Seven Minute Sopranos recap (coincidentally made by a BC alum)…
